The point!!! That I was trying to make on the subject of me buying your favor and our previous exchange on that topic-
I kind of lost the plot while we were talking just now but I had a stairwell moment and remembered-
It wasn't about making you feel bad or obligated to me in any way. The point was about my intelligence, not your gratitude or any perceived indebtedness. As in, "I find it insulting that you would suggest I'm incapable of seeing how little my financial generosity has been able to purchase from you." Does that make sense? Like, hey if I'm doing this to try to buy your favor then it's a really awfully losing game. So trust that my reasoning doesn't contain any hope for a chain reaction or a foot in the door of your life or anything like that. If that's why I had been doing it I'd have stopped a long time ago.ย
